Position Summary:

The purpose of this part-time position is to provide excellent programming within our Children’s Ministry Large Group experience that is creative and engaging to children in Early Childhood and Elementary.


This is a non-exempt position with an expected 20-hour work week.

  • Vision for integrating a small collection of teams (communication, tech, worship) into a cohesive large group experience for Kidtropolis kids each weekend.
  • Track record of faithful service (as staff or volunteer) and a heart for Children’s Ministry.
  • Strong creative thinker who can take and adapt stories and curriculum, stage production, worship, and game ideas to fit the Kidtropolis culture
  • Flexibility and endurance to handle a variety of challenges with a positive attitude.
  • Well-organized administrator with good relational skills who can care for, supervise, and develop many different teams.




Major Responsibilities:

1.  Team Leader – Recruit, develop, schedule and coach storytellers, hosts, worship leaders, and set designers for Early Childhood and Elementary ministry.





2. Preparation - Responsible for purchasing any needed supplies/props  for Large Group. Organize the Pro-Presenter presentation to fit the final scripts.





3.  Implementation/Producing – Lead and oversee all Large Group programming teams on Sunday mornings.



4.  Scripting – Editing both the Elementary and Early Childhood

Large Group curriculum to fit the specific needs of our Children’s Ministry Program.




5. Communication - Maintain good working relationship with Director of Family Life Ministry, Elementary Coordinator and Early Childhood Coordinator.







  • Model Christ-like character and integrity in all working relationships with staff and volunteers
  • Train, lead and encourage volunteers and develop the skills they bring to the team.
  • Maintain weekly contact with the Family Ministry Director, Elementary Coordinator and Early Childhood Coordinator.
  • Be available for weekly Children’s Ministry staff meeting and LFC all-staff meetings/events, as needed.

  • Comfortable using technology, i.e. ProPresenter. (We can provide training.)
