Church Administrative Director

The Church Administrative Director is a core member of the Huntsville First United Methodist Church

[HFUMC ] staff who plays a primary role in administering the operational affairs of the Church and working with Church members and staff to achieve the objectives of the Church.

HFUMC is seeking a person with experience in administrative responsibilities and a calling to church administration. This position is responsible for directing the administrative functions of the church including oversight of office management, financial operations, facilities management, information
technology systems, and certain human resources functions.

The primary management/supervisory responsibilities are:
1 Supervision of Financial Administrative Staff
2 Supervision of Office Staff
3 Personnel Management
4 Supervision of Facilities Staff and Custodians

Requisite Qualifications:
• College degree in business administration or a related field and knowledge of
   facilities' management
• Relevant work experience in a congregation or nonprofit organization
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to articulate ways in which working for a church differs from a for-profit

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Certified Church Administrator accreditation
• Successful fundraising experience
• Experience overseeing a major construction or renovation project(s)
• United Methodist Church experience
