Job Description:

Mosaic Christian Church is a rapidly growing church in the Baltimore area, with a vision of being a church for people who don’t go to church.  We worship Jesus wholeheartedly, but we do so in a way that makes sense to people who are unfamiliar with church.  We are grateful to be a part of God’s redemptive work in our region, as we get to be a part of marriages being restored, addictions being conquered, and lost people finding new life in Christ.  We hosted over 2,000 people this Easter, and saw 12 people get baptized that weekend!

We are looking for worship interns to join our team.  The person best suited for this internship has a great voice and a great heart.  You’ll be heavily engaged in leading worship at both of our church’s campuses, and we will work with you to cultivate and develop your skills.  You’ll be challenged to grow as a musician, as a leader, and as a disciple of Christ.  You’ll be pushed hard, but you’ll also get to work alongside some incredibly fun and talented staff and volunteers.

We will pay all interns a stipend. The internship will last through the end of 2015, and we will begin filling spots on a rolling basis, beginning immediately.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Lead worship during weekend worship experiences (will rotate between campuses at the discretion of the Lead Pastor)

  2. Sing secular cover songs during weekend worship experience

Other responsibilities will be determined in response to each intern’s specific gifts, skills and passions, but could include (among other things): band preparation, volunteer musician development, implementation of music technology (recording/arranging/sequencing in ProTools, Ableton and/or Reason), audio engineering (for recording on-site or mixing our live broadcast), creative planning, setlist design, and songwriting.

Core Attributes, Competencies and Skills

  1. Exceptional vocalist who can lead both congregational worship and secular cover songs with strength and confidence.

  2. A team player who works well with our staff and leadership team.

  3. A humble heart - to match the heart of Christ and the hundreds of volunteers who serve at Mosaic.

  4. Able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment

  5. Self motivated, quick learner and goal oriented

  6. Flexible and adaptable

To apply for this position, send the following to

  1. A resume showing relevant experience & skills

  2. 1-3 videos (or links to view/download videos) that demonstrate your range of skill.  This should include at least 1 video of you leading worship, but can also include videos of you singing/playing any genre of music.  If you play an instrument, please include a video of this as well

  3. A brief message of why you’re interested in joining the team
