Youth Pastor - Texas

We have partnered with fast growing church near San Antonio, TX to search for its next Youth Pastor. He or she will create and articulate the vision for youth ministry within the overall context of church’s vision to “Reach Seekers and Build Believers.”

The Position

The Youth Pastor will provide leadership for the teenage ministry including Sunday morning youth services, mid-week services, camps, retreats, annual retreat weekends, summer social activities, and successfully recruit/equip volunteers.

The Youth Pastor is expected to think strategically about the growth of the youth ministry through investing in volunteers, parents and teens. Collaborative work with the Children’s Pastor as well as the rest of the staff will be essential.

What We Are Looking For

Spiritually mature. Assertive. Pro-Active.

Vision caster with great communication skills.

Developer of people.

Candidates must have a genuine passion for reaching teens in our surrounding community and to lead, inspire and equip students to discover and live out their potential with God.

The ideal candidate possesses a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least two to four years of ministry experience in at least a medium sized church. The successful candidate will be an energetic, relational leader and will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching teens with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention. They will also have a history of success in creating a ministry setting that relates to both churched and unchurched teenagers.

We’re asking a lot, we know. But we need someone who is gifted and motivated to reach kids and families and who will do whatever it takes to do so.
