Job Description:

The Children's Ministries Intern is involved in all aspects of Children's Ministries (birth through grade 5), including planning, equipping, and implementing various ministry programs.  This is a one year position starting July 2015.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibility is to learn how to be a successful children's minister through hands on ministry experience.  The Children's Ministreis Intern will be actively involved in The JAR (our kids' church), nursery, summer programs (such as day camp and family carnivals), outreach events in the community, and all other events sponsored through Children's Ministries.

The Children's Ministries Intern will take a leadership role in Kids' Church and small groups.

 

The successful applicant will:

Love children, and enjoy building relationships with them and their families.

Be flexible, pleasant, positive and enthusiastic in all ministry circumstances.

Be a team player.

Be self-motivated.

Be open to imput.

Have strong leadership skills and/or potential.

 

Qualifications:

An under graduate degree.

Pastoral recommendation and a commitment to the church.

Previous experience in children's ministry is valuable, but not required.

Musical experience is a plus.
