Job Description:

TITLE:           Worship & Arts Musician in Residence & Student Worship Leader Intern

                       Part Time Position (26.5 hrs/wk, salary + Housing provided with other single men)

REPORTS TO:  Minister of Worship & Arts & Associate Pastor Intergenerational Ministries

PURPOSE/SCOPE OF JOB:  The primary purpose of this position is to act as a Musician-in-Residence in support of the Worship & Arts ministry and to provide leadership in the area of worship within Student Ministries of CPC

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  1. A vibrant, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  2. A general knowledge of scripture
  3. Minimum of two years leading worship
  4. Strong skills on electric & acoustic guitar
  5. High baritone/tenor voice
  6. Good oral and written (English & grammar) communication skills
  7. Working knowledge Word, Excel, Planning Center Online and ProPresenter
  8. Team player (willing to work for the good of the department)
  9. A basic understanding of the role of Praise and Worship in the modern church
  10. Demonstrated ability to manage and coach team members, especially high school teens

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  1. Overall knowledge of current worship technologies (including but not limited to Logic, Ableton, Garageband, ProTools, or Finale)
  2. Proficient in playing with a click track
  3. Working knowledge of Abelton
