Job Description:

LifePoint is one of the fastest growing churches in the tri-state area and have increased by an average of 60 people per year for the last 4 years.  As a new church plant founded in September 2007, LifePoint has grown to approximately 275 in average weekly attendance.  80% of people who have been at the church for more than 6 months are involved in some sort of volunteer service (on campus – off campus – mercy – mission – etc.).  Clearly, LifePoint is a church full of engaged and passionate followers of Jesus!

Financially, LifePoint is 100% debt free, they own their facility, and they have a healthy financial reserve.  With a very conservative budget forecast, each year they have exceeded expectations.

LifePoint is a non-denominational, Gospel-centered church whose approach that’s both deep and wide. They would affirm creedal theology. Their philosophy would be to lead with theological essentials and remain open on theological distinctions.  As a church, they follow a Simple Church philosophy. There have been 18 baptisms in the past 6 months.

LifePoint is a great church and growing exponentially. It’s highly regarded in the community and has leadership that connects and communicates well with the congregation and is also an influential voice in the wider church community.  It is “on the map” and partners with the city in ways that lead to improvement.

LifePoint’s new Worship Arts Pastor (or Director) needs to be a strong on-stage communicator with vocal gifts and an ability to speak into the moment with prayers, song set-ups, and segues.  Some degree of musical strength on the guitar and/or keyboard is mandatory.  Off stage the most important strength needed is to shepherd and pastor the very invested leaders and worship team members.  There will be freedom to change and grow the program – however the pace of change will need to be navigated.

A leader who is driven, creative, thick-skinned, and committed to caring for his people as much as leading them will do well for this season of LifePoint’s life.

The worship at LifePoint is contemporary and operating with a high degree of excellence.  An entirely volunteer led band leads music each week including guitars, keys, bass, drums, and a small vocal team.  They have a vision to see the diversity of worship expression grow – but are also living within their current limitations of staff and resource.

Lead Pastor Bill is a very strong teacher and brings depth to his messages in addition to inspiration and motivation.  The Sunday experience is a fantastic combination of intellectual depth and approachable music.  Engagement is high and there are several young adults in worship in addition to young families and more mature adults.
