Worship & the Arts Ministry Assistant

The Worship & the Arts Ministry assistant is responsible for the successful functioning of the ministry office, maintaining excellence in communication, administration, and volunteer management.
This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Director of Worship & the Arts and serves as a member of the ministry staff, coordinating support for all the ensemble directors and volunteers. Will consider part-time, job shared arrangement between two

- Maintain records for the entire Worship & the Arts ministry, including but not limited to: updating personnel information, keeping musical libraries organized, management of copyright licenses, etc.
- Coordinate the scheduling of all music ministry needs: ensembles, rooms, instrument use (and maintenance or rental), etc.
- Keep accurate records of ministry accounts--Track expenditures, process payments, and forecast expenditures when requested; receive & acknowledge donations & memorials; monthly processing of VISA statements and reconciliation with Finance Office reports.
- Organize and manage volunteer teams, as directed, to expand ministry effectiveness and opportunity.
- Maintain clear communication between staff, volunteers, and church at large—provide on-going interface with church publications, website, and social media, keeping information accurate and up-to-date; initiate and organize correspondence as directed by
music ministry staff. Manage all general, in-coming ministry area phone calls.
- Support all musical ensembles through on-going communication with ensemble directors to determine support needs as well as tracking information for all volunteer and paid musicians.
- Prepare and distribute information for weekly worship guide, as well as preparation of projection slides and service materials for musicians (hymn sheets, bulletins, etc.)
- Proven, effective experience in office administration and ministry management (3 years minimum); Bachelor degree preferred.
- Knowledge of music and musical systems.
- Comfortable with technology and social media
