Job Description:

Epic Church is a multisite, contemporary, non-denominational Christian church located in Philadelphia. (whew, lots of descriptive words!)

We began in 2008 and we have grown to over 1400 attending weekly across three locations (with more to come). More about that here: Epic draws a diverse crowd, but our largest demographic is young professionals.

Philly is the 5th largest city in America with 1.5 million people. And we are 100% committed to leading as many as we can into a growing relationship with Jesus. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for a leader who’s excited about the opportunity to grow with us and experience first-hand what God is doing in Philadelphia.

Here’s the big picture:

As a Location Pastor, you are responsible for executing Epic’s mission and vision at your location in these 3 ways:

  1. Lead and develop your location staff team.

  2. Provide pastoral oversight in helping people take their next step in following Jesus.

  3. Oversee Sunday services and the overall experience.

If this get’s you fired up, you may be the right person...

  • Committed to do whatever it takes to reach the unchurched of the 1.5 million people in Philadelphia.

  • Experienced in leadership roles in either a church or corporate environment.

  • A strong communicator and motivated team-builder.

  • Passionate about recruiting and leading volunteers.

  • Great at public speaking (and okay with not preaching every week).

  • Organized and able to stay on top of administrative duties.

  • Always looking for ways to make things better and can evaluate and improve processes.

  • A multi-tasker, but can follow through and get things done.

  • Hard-working yet know how to laugh and have fun!

  • A team player (no matter what) and continually learning.

  • Fully committed to the use and effectiveness of video teaching.

  • Flexible and can adapt quickly with a “we can do anything” attitude.

Sound good? Here's what you should do next.

  1. Pray about it. Ask God - Is this where you could be leading me?

  2. Send your resume to

  3. And finally, take a look at our website to check out more of who we are - (we know, it needs an update! It’s in the works ;)
