Valley Ranch Baptist Church was launched in 1986 as church plant of Park Cities Baptist Church. The Coppell and Valley Ranch area was an area of rapid growth and the church established itself quickly under the leadership of its first pastor, Dr. Paul Basden.
By the end of its first year, it was completely self-supporting. In 1991, Dr. Jerry Carlisle took the reins as Senior Pastor and the church continued to establish itself in the Coppell area, building its first permanent facility on 7.5 acres where the church
In August 1999, Valley Ranch Baptist Church called Dr. Larry Parsley as Senior Pastor. The church continued to experience growth and added a third Bible study and worship service. In 2000, the church launched the Christmas Store ministry, which helped the
church focus even further on missions in the community. During this time they also adopted a recommendation from the Facility Task Force to expand the Belt Line Road location, breaking ground on Phase II in 2002. In September 2003, the church moved into the
new 900-seat sanctuary and additional Bible study space with 661 members. In September 2006, VRBC completed the renovation of the west wing (the original building), creating space for student and children’s ministries. In recent years, the church has continued
to grow in size and expand its ministry locally in the Coppell and Valley Ranch communities as well as the South Dallas area. It has also expanded its ministry nationally in areas such as the Rio Grande Valley and internationally in several locations around
Valley Ranch Baptist Church is looking for an Executive Pastor is to lead, manage, and care for the staff of Valley Ranch Baptist Church (VRBC), oversee the development and strategies of all VRBC ministries to fulfill the vision and mission of the church,
and oversee and manage all of the business, financial, human resource, and day-to-day operations of VRBC.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years proven experience in administering the daily activities and operation of a church, non-profit, or business and/or 10 years experience as a senior leader in a business, church, or non-profit environment.
They will also possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as have the ability to balance the demands of work, spiritual fitness, and personal responsibilities.
Coppell is a city in the northwest corner of Dallas County. It is a suburb of Dallas and a bedroom community in the Dallas-Fort Worh metroplex. Coppell boasts outstanding schools, affordable housing, and a quiet small town feel. In recent years, the area
