COMMUNITY MEDIA

Since 2010, Community Media has been a collective of creative people who love to tell stories. We are a production company located in Greenville, SC that strives to inspire change through creatively communicating truth using great media. We create video, print and web for growing churches, schools, ministries and businesses across the country. We work with about 40-50 clients per year, helping them tell great stories and connecting with those they serve. We are looking for a person who can go on location and capture great stories, bring back the footage and edit it, add some cool motion graphics and then deliver a killer final product to the client.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Video Producer is responsible for creating videos from conception to completion on a variety of projects, mainly with churches but also with schools, ministries and local businesses.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Pre-production planning, scheduling and script development.

-Shooting and directing video content, especially setting up lights, camera and audio for great looking and sounding interviews.

-Creatively editing video footage to tell great stories, adding motion graphics to create a polished, finished product.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

-A heart for the local church, a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and a passion to use media to tell stories.

-Proven track record of leadership in taking projects from beginning to end (concept to production to final edit).

-Storyteller at heart with a desire to capture stories through video.

-Degree in film or media related field; or at least 2-4 years experience in video production.

-Experience and training in studio and field production including lighting, audio and camera work.

-Experience and training in post-production work including non-linear editing, compositing, and motion graphic design.

-Proficient in programs like: Final Cut Pro, Motion, Compressor, Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator).

-Attention to detail, organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.

-Action-oriented and displays focus, passion, and initiative. Takes appropriate action when something needs to be done.

-Relates well to all kinds of people, builds effective relationships, communicates well both interpersonally and corporately.

-Organized, creative thinker and highly productive, working in a fast-paced environment.

-Committed to improvement and learning new skills, seeks constructive criticism, understands strengths and weaknesses.

-Excellent communication skills.

 

DETAILS

Schedule: Monday-Friday, some weekends

Status: Full-Time

Salary: TBD, based on experience

Location: Community Media - Greenville, SC
