In 2009, Ryan Kwon and Scott Taylor met with 35 people in Ryan's living room with the dream and commitment to plant a church in the city of Freemont, CA. The group of 35 quickly grew to 70 people and Resonate was officially launched at Forrest Park Elementary
School on Sunday, March 7, 2010. Resonate continued to grow, and in 2012, Resonate moved into the Freemont Adult School.
Resonate is now four years old and services are currently held at American High School with a weekend attendance of over 1,000. Resonate continues to experience fast growth with plans to launch a campus in the nearby community of Hayward, CA. To that end,
Resonate is seeking a Campus Pastor to serve as the spiritual leader and ensure the campus aligns with the mission, vision, and values of Resonate Church. Along with a core staff, the Campus Pastor will act as the shepherd for the congregation and will oversee
the physical and logistical aspects of the Hayward Campus.
In this position, the Campus Pastor will make gospel-centered disciples by leading and shepherding Resonate Hayward. This will require a firm grasp of the vision and DNA of Resonate, as well as the ability to build teams, shepherd leaders, and live on mission.
The successful candidate will preferably hold a seminary degree as well as have at least 3 years of experiernce as a pastor in a church of 500 or larger.
Hayward, also known as “the heart of the Bay,” is a city located in beautiful Alameda County in the East Bay subregion of the San Francisco Bay. With a population of 149,392 in 2014, Hayward is the sixth largest city in the Bay Area and the third largest
in Alameda County. Hayward is located near premier tourist locations (San Francisco), first-rate educational institutions (Berkeley and Stanford), and an economic powerhouse (Silicon Valley). The cultural diversity of Hayward is rich and is represented by
superb arts and humanities facilities and organizations, as well as prominent heritage sites. Museums, theatres, galleries, and public art are offered throughout the Hayward area with California State University, East Bay, and Chabot College playing major
roles in the cultural vitality of the city. In the wake of the Gold Rush, former miners and new immigrants established homes and businesses, planted orchards, and raised livestock, setting down roots that grew into communities known for their diverse population,
varied industry, and suburban living.
One of the main highlights of living in Hayward is in the beautiful panoramic views of the bay, which can be seen from and near the university in the hills. From the Hayward hills, one can see Fremont, Silicon Valley, Oakland, and San Francisco all at once.
With all that Hayward and the surrounding communities have to offer, Hayward is a great place to live and raise a family.
