The NextGen Ministry Assistant's primary role is to lead and oversee the coordination and implementation of midweek and special events programming for NextGen Student ministry. This individual will be responsible for inviting students into an environment
where they can discover who God is and explore what that looks like in their day to day life. This position would be supervised by the NextGen Director and work closely with all NextGen Ministry volunteer leaders.
Develop and nurture relationships with students and their parents.
Assist in recruiting, equipping and building relationships with volunteer leaders.
Assist in the facilitation of Sunday morning Christian Education classes, serving as a regular presence in both the Middle School and High School area.
Partner with the NextGen Director in the recruitment and training of volunteers.
Responsible for the coordination of communication to students, parents and volunteers.
Oversee and coordinate monthly large group activities (games, message, and worship).
Assist in the coordination and continued development of mid-week Home Groups for both Middle School and High School.
Retreats, Special Events, Serving Opportunities
Oversee and coordinate WinterBlast and WinterXtreme retreats.
Lead and coordinate NextGen ministry summer mission trip (every other year).
Design and coordinate connecting social opportunities for students in the summer months.
Seek out and provide quarterly opportunities for Middle and High School to serve in ministry together.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-Year College or university preferred; two years related experience and/or training; teaching/facilitating experience.

Part-Time non-exempt position
20 hours per week
Weekend/Evening Availability, plus Tuesday/Wednesday office hours
Salary – dependent on skills, level of experience and qualifications
