Job Description:

Christian Life Center is a church of 2500 located at the Crossroads of America - in Dayton, Ohio.  We are looking for a full-time Business Administrator who will be responsible for managing the business affairs of the church including IT, Facilities Management, Finance and Budgeting.  The Business Administrator will also mentor, empower and provide leadership and support to all direct reports, their staff and volunteers.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration is preferred
  • Previous experience in the area of administration and management
  • Certification through The Church Network is a plus

The Business Administrator shall be directly responsible to the Executive Director for the efficient administration of the business affairs of the church under the policies approved by the Church Board

  • Build solid staff relations by conducting annual performance evaluations of sub-ordinate staff members and working to resolve conflicts
  • Establish departmental goals in cooperation with sub-ordinate staff members by prioritizing related programs, managing the use of facilities, making budget recommendations, delegating tasks and evaluating progress regularly
  • Oversee the handling and receipting of contributions to ensure the security of the funds and      accurate record keeping
  • Coordinate development and preparation of the general church and departmental budgets
  • Develop and oversee computer operations to ensure that all regular administrative and      departmental functions are automated, with data being accurate and readily accessible
  • Coordinate the payroll operations of the church, including tax reporting and compliance with applicable personnel laws
  • Supervise and manage off-campus real estate
  • Plan for and supervise the continual growth and expansion of the church campus and facilities, including: 
  • Forecasting expansion costs and proposing capital sources
  • Oversee the acquisition and maintenance of all facilities, vehicles and equipment
  • Oversight for the maintenance and general activity needs related to the building, grounds and additional facilities/equipment of Christian Life Center
  • Assist in the budget process of Christian Life Center. Oversee the administration of all legal      matters and custodianship of all corporate and legal documents. Developing and maintaining close relationships with potential commercial lenders.  Exploring all available funding avenues
  • Supervise the work of sub-ordinate staff members, meeting regularly with, and providing      leadership to them in areas of individual goal setting and accountability
  • Participate in the church’s staff management group
  • Work with appropriate committees and leaders to carry out the mission and ministry of the church



  • Coordinate and direct custodial and maintenance personnel to maintain a high standard for all church property and facility maintenance and care
  • Oversee the event management system – Event U
  • Establish and maintain inventory of all assets
  • Responsible for the security of the facility and grounds
  • Supervise all hired contractor and meeting demands, have the highest standards, and are meeting governmental requirements
  • Consult with the Church Board on any future building plans or expansions
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the Executive Director
