Job Description:

Position Title | Family Ministry Administrative- Assistant

Reporting | Reports to Birth - College Pastor

Classification | Part-time, 20 hours a week, Paid hourly


Position Summary

The Family Ministry Admin Assistant supports the Pastor of Birth to College, the student and children’s ministry associates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Supports the Family Ministry team with graphic, website, budgeting, and printing

  • Communication request submissions 
  • Oversee the printing of all Banners and posters 

2. Organizes and oversees the materials and distribution for Relay

  • Order and maintain resources and supplies 
  • Organize and distribute via mail, HomeTeam, or digitally 

3. Uses Planning Center and Church Community Builder to schedule, communicate and run reports

  • Utilize Planning Center and Resources for event, facility requests, and volunteer scheduling 
  • Run weekly attendance reports using Church Community Builder 

4. Coordinate and communicate details

  • Make appointments and travel arrangements as needed 
  • Email and communicate details to staff and volunteers 
  • Order and maintain resources and supplies 

5. Execute other assignments as needed

  • Assist receptionist with phone coverage as needed 
  • Assist with coordination of volunteer projects as needed 
  • Complete expense reimbursement and submit for approval 
  • Meet with the Family Ministry team regularly


1. Required

  • High School Diploma 
  • Proficient computer skills in Apple Software & Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop and InDesign. 
  • Highly developed verbal, written and telephone communication skills with the ability to act on both a professional and personal level with people. Operates well independently with minimal direction/supervision, as well as within a team. Multitasking ability and attention to detail is essential 
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly 

2. Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Experience with Community Church Builder Database, Monk Development Software (website), MailChimp, Survey Monkey, ProPresenter and Planning Center Online.
