The Groups Director will be responsible for creating, developing and overseeing an increasing number of healthy
lifegroups. These lifegroups include the adult co-ed, men’s and women’s groups at The Church at LifePark. The
adult groups ministry will be consistent with The Church at Life Park’s Mission, which is Connecting, Growing and
Serving Together. The Mission is pursued through programs and activities including corporate worship,
organized ministry, and evangelistic outreach in an age appropriate manner.
The Groups Director shall give evidence of a call to Christian ministry and demonstrate a mature relationship
with God. The Groups Director should exhibit spiritual gifts for ministry, should exhibit talents and personality
traits that will enhance the church’s ministry, and should exhibit training and experience in ministry.
The Groups Director will report to the Associate Pastor - Discipleship and will work under his direction to
oversee the adult discipleship ministries of the church. The work can include, but not be limited to the following:
a. Communicating groups as the primary discipleship process;
b. Recruiting and training qualified leaders to lead groups;
c. Developing processes and communication to get people into groups;
d. Providing ongoing support and encouragement to leaders through 12-14 meetings with leaders per week;
e. Ensuring groups essentials such as beginning well, promoting participation, cultivating relationships,
integrating scripture, serving together and multiplying groups are realized;
f. Other duties as assigned.
The Groups Director is responsible for recruiting, retaining, training and overseeing necessary workers and
helpers in the ministry, both volunteers and paid personnel where applicable.
