Position Description: The Middle School Associate is to provide key leadership over the Creative Arts Ministry of 5th-8th grade on the Peoria campus. This position requires the development and implementation of
creative programming through Pro Presenter and video as it relates to our weekly teaching and global outreach efforts. This position requires the ability to resource our volunteer staff with creative and effective artistic tools. In addition, team building
and volunteer care are critical to success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Program Development: Develop creative programs through video and media development in order to enhance our teaching efforts during weekend services. This will require close interaction with purchased curriculum and working closely with the
Middle School Director.
Weekend Oversight: Provide ministry oversight to all volunteers and students in the Student Center during weekend services.
Worship: Build and lead teams of volunteers in order to provide worship for the middle school ministry.
Outreach: Develop and implement high energy monthly outreach events for students.
Special Events: Help to schedule and develop special events. Work closely with the Student Ministry team to develop special programming outside the scheduled weekly services. Other events may include age specific events for students, parents,
and ministry building events for volunteers.
Team Building: Assist the Student Ministry team in various projects as needed to build teamwork.
Volunteer Care: Provide care for the volunteers and ensure they are connected with each other through regular and frequent community building times.
Budget: Assist the Student Ministry team with the preparation of the department’s annual budget.
Accountability: The following is a list of things for which the Middle School Associate would be held accountable:
Staff Meetings: Attend monthly staff meetings for global, visionary, and organizational matters.
Departmental Meetings: Attend Student Ministry meetings to ensure personal integrity and fidelity in your personal and spiritual life.
Continuing Education: Use of continued education to develop his/her talents to model excellence in the ministry through attendance at conferences, seminars, classes, etc.
Bridge Building: Maintain bridge building through regular outside contact and specific bridge building with seekers through a self-chosen avenue of opportunity.
Interaction with others
This person will work most closely with Student Ministry paid staff as well as ministry volunteers and parents. In addition, networking with other student ministries for problem solving and creative solutions will be helpful.

Should possess a heart for God and skills in loving adults and students. This person will possess the ability to see and communicate “the big picture” or how a lesson/event will look as a whole with attention to detail and methods of delivery.
