Church Office Administrative Assistant


Are you organized, efficient with social media and creative with Key note and Propresenter? Do you have good people skills and a love for God’s church? If you can answer yes to these questions, Oak Hills Evangelical Covenant Church may be your next place of employment. We are looking for an office administrator who is a team player.


Job Description/Responsibilities: 20 hours a week (Additional hours may be necessary. Must be able to work up to 30 hrs. a week when needed.  Church Office Closed on Sundays.)

-        Cover all open office hours (These hours are flexible, but must be consistent Monday through Friday). For example, our present office hours are 10am to 2pm Mon-Fri. But these hours can accommodate our new Administrative Assistant if necessary (I.e. 8am-Noon or 9am -1pm)

-        Administrative Support to Senior Pastor (Sermon database organization, posting of sermons on-line, and general administrative support)

-        Sunday ready: Power-point/Key Note/Propresentor, Worship Folder ( Work within Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator templates),  lay out and print Small Group Weekly Homework (Homework content provided), information table and rack supplied,  copies of order of worship provided to Sunday Leaders

-        Continual Social Media Updates and Presence

-       Church website (templates provided)/ Directory Updates

-        Weekly Church Communication via emails, website calendars, blogs…

-       Office and Church Supplies

-       Church Calendar and Room/Event Reservations

-       Church Filing & Church Database: Servant Keeper

-        Church Assimilation: welcome letter, phone calls, etc.…

-       Updated Small Group Brochures & Monthly Church Newsletter

-       Organize Special Events (church potluck organization, store runs for food and basic supplies, paper goods)

-       Church Cleaning

-       Basic/Light Graphic Design  (templates are provided)

Position Requirements: (This position answers to the Sr. Pastor and supports all ministry leaders.)

-       A Heart for God and His Church

-        Experience in Administrative Office Responsibilities (I.e. Microsoft Word, PC & Mac, Keynote and PowerPoint, Propresenter, Social Media) communications, office organization, basic data implementation and organization, office printing, etc.)

-       Good People skills & Strong communicator

-       Follow-through with given goals and projects per administrative needs

-       Team Player: Consistently supportive and flexible when necessary
