Director of Family Life Ministries

Progressive and growing mega-church is seeking a full-time Director of Family Life Ministries.  You will join with a dynamic staff team in a grace-filled environment taking cues from North Point Ministries, Willow Creek Community Church and "Simple Church".  


Qualified candidate will have strong relational, leadership, team building, systems development, discernment and organizational skills.  Experience in working with children’s, youth, and college ministries and familiarity with the “Think Orange” strategy and approach is a plus.


The Director of Family Life Ministries is responsible for providing vision, strategy, support and development to CRC staff overseeing children’s, youth and college ministries.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Vision of reaching our community for Jesus Christ.

  • Implement and oversee CRC strategy of connecting families into the life of the church.

  • Foster growth and development of department leaders.

  • Deliver practical messages in weekend services and other larger group settings on an as needed basis.

  • Work with staff to Attract, Connect, Train and Sustain (ACTS) key volunteers in their areas to carry out ministry.

  • Speak into the effectiveness of the adult weekend environment to ensure it remains appealing, engaging and helpful to family life ministries.

  • Participate in the Next environment to help new attendees of CRC find their next best step in the church.

  • Work with staff to develop annual departmental budgets.

  • Participate in other staff and leadership development meetings/forums as needed (weekly staff meeting, doctrinal training time, town halls, etc.)

  • Perform other duties as assigned (to include weddings, funerals, baptisms and other pastoral functions).

  • Actively engage in the life of CRC by gathering, connecting, serving, giving and inviting.


Qualifications and Experience


  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 10 + years demonstrated ministry leadership. Possessing a successful work experience track-record in church ministry of initiation and implementation.

  • Passion for developing and mentoring church staff to maximize their potential

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong delegations skills

  • Recruit, train and mobilizes others to fulfill the vision

  • Teaching in large group environments
