Part-time Associate Pastor for Youth and Worship
New Covenant Baptist Church is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic person to lead our youth and worship activities. We are seeking someone who will help us to aggressively reach out to the Finger Lakes region of western New York. Candidate could potentially
become the senior pastor in the future.
Youth: The youth group currently has 15-20 students involved in a variety of activities (Sunday morning Bible study, Sunday evening fellowship, special outings such as mission trips, Kingdom Bound, etc.). It includes students in grades 7
to 12. The group actively participates in community-wide youth activities through the Canandaigua Youth Ministries Alliance. Responsible for offering instruction applicable to age level, transitioning children into the youth program, evangelizing the lost,
engaging in youth ministry outside the church, counseling, equipping youth to lead, helping youth develop spiritual gifts, planning fun/service/outreach activities, helping youth transition to young adult, and growing the Youth Program. These responsibilities
require that the Youth Pastor seek parental feedback, be a leader and mentor more than a friend, relate to all ages in the Youth Program, develop and work with a team of adult volunteers, and pursue continued personal training.
Worship: New Covenant has a blended style of worship music which includes choruses, hymns, and limited use of worship DVDs. Would be responsible for worship planning with the Pastor and leading music (Sunday morning and special services).
Requires that the Worship Pastor work well as a member of a team, arrange accompaniment and special music, maintain audio/visual equipment, and promote the blended music style. The Worship Pastor is encouraged to involve youth and adult volunteers in the
music program (when feasible).
The Associate Pastor for Youth and Worship reports to the Senior Pastor, participates in monthly Church Planning Council meetings, and reports to the congregation at quarterly Ministry Meetings.
