Job Description:

Calvary Church in Charlotte, NC ( is searching for a Pastor of Student Ministry, with a minimum of 3-5 years of full time student pastoral experience. Prospective candidates must have served as a pastor on staff in a mid to large church setting (above 500 in attendance) with multiple pastors on staff.


This pastor will oversee various aspects of the Student Ministry. He will be responsible for teaching 6th -  8th or 9th – 12th grade students on Sunday mornings and evenings, as well as Wednesday evenings. He will be responsible for planning and leading a summer camp, a mission trip, monthly activities, and outreach events. He must be able to develop adult and student leaders by leading, equipping, training and discipling lay leaders.

Education & Qualifications

Candidate must have a degree from a conservative seminary (MDiv preferred), have a firm grasp of Scripture, and know his theology and doctrines well. His life and character must measure up to the character qualities of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 and he cannot be divorced.
