Community Bible Church (CBC) began on May 26, 1990, in a conference room of a local hotel. From day one, the mission of CBC has always been to reach people with the good news of salvation in Jesus’ name, to teach people how to live the Christian life according to the Bible, and to help people through the hard times in life. CBC gathers in large group celebrations for worship and in small groups for Bible study, fellowship, prayer, and ministry.

 

Community Bible Church is increasing in size and scope. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a vital position to the senior staff at CBC to ensure the operational effeciency of the church. 

The CFO is responsible for advising and supporting the Executive Committee from a fiscal leadership perspective. This position is responsible for all financial areas of the organization, including finance, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis, reporting, financial services, contract negotiation, contract management, and compliance.

 

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelors of Science in Accounting or Finance. A masters degree and/or CPA license is preferred. They will possess a minimum of five years of experience as a CFO, Director of finance, Controller, or similar position. Experience in a church environment or non-profit organization is preferred. They will also have a proven track record and experience in managing a complex, fast moving, changing organization, executing the mission and values of the ministry, and managing cash flow.
