Cherokee Hills Christian Church (CHCC) is part of the Independant Christian Church Restoration Movement and has a strong vision and track record for Biblical teaching and witnessing. From its founding in 1963 and throughout its 51 year history, CHCC has been known in the community and beyond for reaching families and individuals in Oklahoma City and the surrounding community, equipping them with a Biblical understanding and worldview. The church is intentional about reaching out to its community and the world at large for the sake of Christ, and it has also successfully planted two sister churches in the OKC area.

This Elder-led church is searching for their next Senior Pastor, who will provide strong, Biblical preaching and an example of a life transformed by the Word of God. The ideal candidate will model servant leadership, will develop and articulate vision that motivates CHCC to passionately pursue growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ, and will reach out to the unchurched in the OKC and beyond in order to bring many new believers to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. The Senior Pastor will serve as the chief communicator, primary Biblical teacher, and visionary leader for CHCC. The successful candidate will be responsible to teach culturally relevant and Biblically accurate messages during weekend services. The Senior Pastor will be responsible for effectively sharing the gospel and communicating the vision of the church, as well as leading and developing the staff and lay leadership. He will work in partnership with the Board of Elders to establish and implement the vision of the church.

The successful candidate will hold, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and will have had formal seminary or Biblical training. An advanced degree in Biblical studies, theology, or divinity is preferred but not required. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached with a high degree of innovation, recruitment, and retention of new believers. The candidate will have had experience working as an effective leader of a large ministry team, instilling vision, and mobilizing leaders in a church of 500 attendees or greater.
