Job Description


The Associate Campus Pastor serves as a shepherd along with the other 6 full time Campus Pastors to provide equal support in guiding the spiritual life and formation for the undergraduate community.  This pastoral position has the primary role of helping communicate spiritual formation practices through preaching and providing opportunities for the undergraduate community to live them out through programming.  This pastor will also collaborate regularly with faculty and staff as it relates to the spiritual formation of undergraduate students.  Expertise and experience in both multiethnic and gender specific spiritual formation will be critical.  Responsibilities will also include interaction with students through pastoral care and counseling with significant attention and availability for female students, however not exclusively. 
 

 

Required Education

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate (or commitment to obtain) in Theology, Biblical Studies, Christian Ed. or Student Ministries, Licensed and/or ordained in the ministry.

 

Required Experience

  • Six – eight years as a professional in campus ministries or church ministry.
  • A committed evangelical Christian and one who can embrace the Wesleyan tradition and a call to holy living with evidence of fruitful living demonstrated in love, grace and peace.
  • Experience in speaking and teaching in a variety of settings both large and small (must provide with application a video or website of a sermon preached in a context of 500+ people)
