Director (or Pastor) of Volunteerism

The Director or Pastor of Volunteerism will create a permeating culture of service among the people of The Chapel.
This will be accomplished by casting a compelling vision for volunteerism as well as designing systems whereby people have easy on-ramps, effective training, placement, and are well cared for and appreciated.
Work with the Senior Pastor and other leaders to catalyze a brand new and contagious culture of volunteerism.
Will require motivating the staff to think in new ways about volunteers as well as championing the cause among all ages and every corner of the church.
Foster relationships with other staff leaders to help them develop a robust culture of volunteerism.
Develop clear, clean pathways into service opportunities church-wide. Create effective recruitment, training, placement, follow-up, and care/appreciation for volunteers.
Assist other staff leaders to develop recruitment, training, and care/appreciation for their teams.
High-level oversight of efforts to welcome new-comers and provide clear accessibility to both information and pathways to their next steps at The Chapel.
General Staff Involvement (5%)
Serve generally as a staff team member of The Chapel with accompanying responsibilities.
For example: general pastoral work if applicable.
