McLean Bible Church was founded in 1961, when five families came together to form a non-denominational church where the Bible would be taught. For three years, the church met in homes, schools, and other facilities until they finally got a building of their own in 1964, where McLean Bible Church remained for the next 20 years.

Thirty years later, Mclean Bible Church (MBC) has more than 11,000 people attending each week at its seven campuses in the greater Washington, DC area. McLean Bible Church's reputation in the community is pristine. With a vision and track record for reaching the lost, growing believers, and impacting the community, the church is poised for continued growth in the coming years.

The Young Adults Pastor is responsible for the overall visioning, leading, strategizing, and executing of a dynamic and growing ministry to young adults at MBC's Tysons Campus. Specific responsibilities include teaching and equipping young adults through workshops, seasonal Bible studies, and mid-sized environments, as well as creating vision and new opportunities for Young Adults to worship, connect, and serve at MBC Tysons. The successful candidate will be able to provide spiritual care and counsel for young adults at MBC Tysons and also plan and execute fellowship and community events for young adults.

The ideal Young Adults Pastor candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. An advanced degree in Biblical studies, seminary training, or divinity is preferred, but not required. Strong preference will be given to those who have shown they have led, grown, and developed a young adult ministry (or similar ministry) in another church. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working in a setting committed to reaching the unreached with a high degree of innovation. Proven experience in creative thinking, problem solving, and collaborative leadership in a fast-paced, innovative environment is strongly preferred.
