First Assembly is seeking a Pastor of Children’s Ministry who will direct and oversee all children’s ministry efforts. The individual will provide the organization, structure, and tools for all children's ministry section leaders, will train volunteers for
serving in the children's ministry, and will be responsible for the efforts to lead children and families at First Assembly closer to Jesus Christ. The Pastor of Children’s Ministry will consult with the leadership and oversee curriculum options that will
enhance the children’s ministry of First Assembly.
The individual will oversee all children's ministry programming and events and will oversee and coordinate all child-care needs and best practices for First Assembly. The Pastor of Children’s Ministry provides leadership, training, support and oversight
to all Children’s Ministry staff, including an Early Childhood Ministries Administrator (nursery and preschool) and numerous student and adult volunteer leaders/workers.
The Children’s Pastor coordinates under the leadership of the Family Life Ministries Pastors and is responsible for the implementation and development of programming for the spiritual formation of children and equipping parents to fulfill their calling
as the primary spiritual leaders of their children.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (preferred), preferably in a related field, and will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of church staff experience (preferred). The individual will have a proven track record of strategically planning,
executing, and managing a growing and dynamic children’s ministry, as well as experience developing teams of volunteer leaders who are equipped to run a weekly, thriving children’s ministry. The ideal candidate must have a collaborative leadership style and
exceptional communication skills, both interpersonally and speaking to large groups of all ages. The ability to lead, in both functional and operational programs, in a team-based leadership environment is a requirement for employment. If the candidate does
not maintain ministerial credentials with the Assemblies of God (AG), he/she must be willing to begin the pursuit of AG ministerial credentials within a reasonable amount of time as a condition of continued employment. Salary commensurate with education and
experience, and includes a benefits package.
