Job Description:

Hartzell United Methodist Church, in Blue Ash, is looking for a part-time Director of Music (12-20 hours per week, dependent upon candidate). The right person will work closely and collaboratively with the Senior Pastor to plan and develop a cohesive worship experience. Our next Director of Music will have the ability to lead all styles of music from traditional hymns to contemporary worship music.

We are in the process of upgrading the Audio/Visual equipment in the church, including; an already installed screen, a new digital sound board, computer, speaker system and wall mounted screens throughout the church building. The church intends to continue offering a vibrant traditionally oriented service with a choir and bell choir, but, with an eye toward creative contemporary pieces being infused. The right candidate will have the ability to lead the church in worship including using their vocal and musical ability.

The Director of Music will lead our choir, bell choir and play on Sunday mornings. The ability to play the piano is a requirement, playing the organ, guitar or other instrument would be a bonus.
