The Director of High School and Young Adult Ministries will work under the supervision of the Senior and Associate Pastor and is responsible for implementing and executing the ministry of students in grades 6-12 and college. Even though the primary responsibility
of this position is with youth, it is expected that the Youth Director will participate will all program heads in creating a uniform program designed to introduce youth to a joyous life in Christ and to learn lifestyles that will help them mature in that relationship
so that it will be the guiding force for the young person's life into adulthood.
Responsibilities include scheduling, planning, attending all major high school events and services, while working with church staff and volunteers. This position will recruit, train, and place volunteers in the roles which best suit their gifts and passions
in the ministry. Event planning and administration, as well as relationship building, will be vital components for the position. Planning and leading youth worship is a vital component of the job.
The ideal candidate will have a genuine call to youth ministry, will have seminary training, and possess a proven track record of success in a youth ministry.
