Woodlands Church is one of the most innovative churches in North America, attracting a multinational constituency from over 27 nations. Located on 3 campuses throughout the Houston, TX area, the church also has an Internet campus, and an international television broadcast ministry.

 

Associate Pastor of Domestic Missions

This is a specialized role giving primary leadership for local/domestic outreach efforts.  We are looking to add a staff member that will create the best, most holistic Christian response to lostness, poverty, distress, personal and cultural brokenness for our communities. 

 

General Responsibilities

  • Manage efforts & priorities of Local Outreach Staff and volunteers;
  • Develop and manage Missions calendar, inclusive of creating domestic missions experiences
  • Develop leaders and teams who can assist in Missions Events, classes, and emphasis weekends;
  • Develop marketing strategies for Missions; lead events and provide training or teach classes as needed
  • Act as liaison with local agencies, ministries, business leaders;
  • Lead international trips as needed (approximately 1-3 per year)
  • Create & lead a scalable church-led Disaster Relief model;
  • Lead efforts in response to large scale disasters (natural and accidental);
  • Develop marketing strategy of all disaster & domestic mission trips

 

Education/Skill/Experience Requirements
Fluent in both English and Spanish is essential
Hands-on Domestic Missions experience required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Strong people/relational team building skills, including a strong customer service mindset
Proven ability to adapt and anticipate ministry needs in flexible environment
Proven ability to coordinate and problem solve multiple projects
Solid organization/administrative abilities, including strong written and verbal skills
Proficient computer skills (database, word processing, web savvy)
