City Church seeking a Worship Arts Pastor (full time). Launched on Easter 2005, we’re a growing church located in southwest Minneapolis. In March of 2013, the church occupied a newly renovated facility and experienced more than 30% growth, now averaging
nearly 350 in weekly worship. Our purpose is to Love God and Love Others. We are committed to honoring God in worship, to sharing the hope found in the message of Jesus Christ, developing a community of love, serving as a transforming presence in our community
and becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
We are seeking a Worship Arts Pastor to lead the development and implementation of creative, God-honoring worship experiences. The worship arts ministry at City Church currently includes a team of volunteer musicians and artists along with a supporting group
of professionals who help to produce two Sunday morning contemporary services. The church plans to pilot a traditional service (a third Sunday morning experience) in 2015. In the future, we hope to experiment with a Sunday evening service. The future for Worship
Arts at City Church is exciting. In recent years, we have developed a reputation for creativity and excellence. We are looking for a leader to build on this tradition.
The Worship Arts Pastor should have strong credentials in a variety of musical traditions, be a leader and bring creativity to planning weekly worship experiences. They should be a person of vital faith with a commitment to historical orthodox Christian
faith. They should also be able to effectively collaborate with the staff and volunteers of the church and have a commitment to the purpose of City Church in this community.
