Job Description:

The Pastor of Discipleship will set the vision for discipleship in accordance with the mission of Calvary Church, which is to be and make authentic followers of Jesus Christ through a balanced ministry of worshiping God, preaching and teaching the Word, edifying one another, caring for the needs of others, and evangelizing the world.

 

This Associate Pastor will oversee programming and education for Adult Life Groups and various electives. He will approve curriculum, recruit, train and develop teachers and leaders for Adult Education. While primarily responsible for adult education and discipleship, he will also work with children's and youth ministries to create a solid path of discipleship with strong transitions in each lifestage change from the very young to adulthood.

 

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form; the ability to interact with diverse people groups; and strong administrative skills. Masters of Divinity in Theology or equivalent and experience in a church of 500+ with multiple pastoral staff are preferred.
