Job Description:

CrossRoads Fellowship Church is a non-denominational church started 75 years ago in a store front in downtown Odessa, Texas. The first Senior Pastor was Curtis Thorpe who led the growing congregation for 40 years. In 1988, Griff Jones came on staff as an Associate Pastor and grew in his leadership and influence. With the consensus of the church, Griff became the new Senior Pastor in the fall of 2000.

In 2007, as a result of Griff's leadership, the church relocated from the downtown area to its current facility situated on 141 acres off of highway 191. Griff also brought renewed vision by strategically refining the church's purpose and vision statements. CrossRoads Fellowship was a pilot church for Saddleback's 40 Days of Church campaign and are purpose-driven in their ministry model, with the North Point Model being another major influencer.

The Director of Communications and Marketing will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of all CrossRoads Fellowship's marketing/communications strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing the development and implementation of support materials, brands, logos and services in the area of marketing, communications, and public relations. A visual eye for design and an inherent attention to detail is required, as this role is responsible for the online and social media presence of the church.

Odessa, Texas, is a city in the county seat of Ector county and a component of the larger Midland-Odessa area. The city is located in the Permian Basin in the West Plains of Texas. Odessa was originally founded as a water stop and cattle-shipping point on the Texas and Pacific Railroad in 1881. Odessa is only 11 miles from Midland's international airport, which is serviced daily by three major airlines and is the closet airport to Big Bend National Park. Many residents enjoy the accessibility to vacationing in both New Mexico and Colorado.
