Operations Director (Oceanside)

Job Summary

The Operations Director seeks excellence and efficiency in all areas and

applications. Working under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor

and in harmony with other staff members and ministry team leaders this

vital role provides operational leadership that sharpens and finely-tunes

New Venture's practical ability to fulfill the Church's Vision and

Mission as established by the Senior Pastor.

Primary Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

All items are performed under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and

in conjunction with the Staff Team.

Brings leadership as deemed necessary to Operational Areas including

but not limited to, Human Resources Dept/Dir., Facilities, and Retail

Operations. Meets with Management and/or the Senior Pastor to identify

and create efficiency.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Fellowship One and Bookstore

Manager a plus)

• Able to make an appropriate professional impression when

representing the ministry

Additional Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ

• Passionate celebration and ownership of the vision, mission, values and

purposes of New Venture Christian Fellowship

• Commitment to support the church leadership and staff

• Ability to work flexible and/or overtime hours if required to complete

assigned tasks

• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional

demeanor, servant's heart and "can-do" attitude

• Example the highest Christian virtue and personal decorum, serving as

a Christian role model. (I Timothy 4:12)

Education and Skills Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related studies


• 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and


• Church Administration experience is a plus, but secular business

leadership experience highly applicable to this position

Areas of responsibility and accountability may change occasionally,

based upon the responsibilities and needs of the ministry.

New Venture Christian Fellowship began with Pastor Shawn Mitchell, his wife Laurie, and just five others as a small Bible Study in their home living room in the fall of 1989. With a burden to reach North County’s Oceanside community with the gospel of Jesus Christ, a clear vision that “Church was Never Meant to be Boring,” and great faith in an even greater God, New Venture outgrew its suburban neighborhood, and celebrated its first “official” service October 1st, 1989 at nearby Lincoln Middle School with 52 in attendance.
