The Pastor of Student Discipleship directs biblical ministries and care for children and young people from infancy through high school. This pastor recruits and teaches a lay leadership team to oversee adult volunteer helpers in the ministry. He serves
as administrator for children and youth ministries to manage curriculum, to secure supplies for ministry, and supports and guides a Youth leadership team of volunteers involved in ongoing ministry training, and communicates using all available resources with
church staff and leadership, parents and the congregation. This pastor oversees safety programs and policies to ensure protection for young people and lay leaders through child abuse prevention training and secure oversight of children while they are engaged
in the programs of the church.
The Pastor of Student Discipleship develops ministry plans and discipleship strategies for teaching students in grades 6-12 in accordance with the purpose, vision and doctrinal position of Bible Baptist Church in worship, discipleship, evangelism, fellowship,
and service. These strategies and practices will include Sunday and midweek Biblical instruction, youth missions trips, local outreach, one-on-one visitation, attendance at extracurricular activities.
The successful applicant will have earned a Bachelor’s degree from an appropriate college or university and will have at least two years experience in youth ministry and administration.
