Christ Community Church (CCC) in Idaho Falls, Idaho, is a non-denominational, Evangelical congregation with a strong vision and track record for Biblical teaching and witnessing. At the heart of CCC is a desire to make disciples of unreached people and to see each follower of Christ grow in their love for Him. CCC has become known in the community and beyond for reaching families and individuals in the Idaho Falls area and equipping them with a Biblical worldview. The church consistently draws visitors and new attendees from its surrounding community in this predominantly Latter Day Saint (Mormon) area, and is intentional about reaching out to its community and the world at large for the sake of Christ. CCC is well positioned to continue to expand ministry within the body, in Idaho Falls, the surrounding community, our nation, and the world.

This Elder-led church is searching for a Senior Pastor to provide strong Biblical preaching, model servant leadership, and develop and articulate vision that motivates the body at CCC to passionately pursue growing in their relationship with Jesus Christ. He must be passionate to see many new believers come to faith in Jesus Christ in Idaho Falls and beyond, and he will lead the Elders and staff in discerning and following God’s will for CCC. The Senior Pastor and the Elders will be responsible for the creation, implementation, and management of a long-term, detailed plan for the church that helps CCC fulfill their mission.

The primary means by which the Senior Pastor will lead the congregation of CCC will be as preacher/teacher in the worship services. In his preaching and his life he must demonstrate complete submission to God’s Word. He must be an excellent teacher and have the ability to communicate God’s Word through effective examples from his thinking, reading, and life. The Senior Pastor will also be responsible for the daily leadership of the church and the staff, and will be a member of the Elder Board, fully participating in all matters under their consideration such as budget, staff evaluation and compensation, church discipline, strategic planning, shepherding ministries, and prayer. Together with the Elder Board, the Senior Pastor will identify new staffing needs and participate in hiring staff to meet these need.

The successful candidate will at a minimum hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and will have had some formal seminary or Biblical training. An advanced degree in Biblical studies, Theology, or Divinity is strongly preferred. The successful Senior Pastor will have a proven record of being a gifted preacher and organizational leader in a similar capacity. In addition, the candidate should show an ability to connect with members of the congregation across generations and be a strong proponent of members’ involvement in ministry. The successful candidate will be a mature and visionary leader with the ability and wisdom to motivate and mobilize staff, lay leaders, and the congregation as a whole to accomplish God’s will for CCC.
