Operations Manager needed for a growing Christian Early Learning Center located in the Collegeville area.  The right candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and be skilled in relationship building, regulatory management, and a strong leader with 3-5 years’ experience in a school setting.  If you are a professing Christian that is passionate about education send your resume to bslater@fvcn.org

 

Job Summary

The Operations Manager will be responsible for all matters of school administration that do not directly relate to instruction or student behavior. The Operations Manager is a cornerstone of the school and seeks to relieve the director of non-instructional obligations so that she can focus almost exclusively on student achievement and the mission of the school and church.

 

Tasks

Coordinate with the director to maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students to ensure efficiency and maximum level of customer service

Manage daily school operations within DPW guidelines and student/teacher ratios

Manage all school scheduling (including staff work schedule), special events, maintenance, playgrounds and cleaning

Responsible for school safety plan: disaster preparation, fire drills, student, staff and public safety, and student health

Monitor student attendance and coordinate efforts to improve student attendance

Analyze current operating procedures and recommend ways to improve efficiency

Initiate opportunities to improve performance through effective coaching and modeling

Perform daily inspections and evaluate processes

Plan, organize, coordinate and control large group events, classified meetings, and community and family engagement events

Prepare and deliver oral presentations

Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others

Maintain records and prepare reports

Prioritize, plan, organize and schedule work

Maintain knowledge of current educational practices and encourage forward thinking ideas that will improve the school

Analyze situations accurately and implement an effective course of action

Meet schedules and time lines

Use computer, telephone, alarm systems, and modern office equipment proficiently

People Manager - Demonstrates constructive leadership and transformational staff development through effective use of tools such as evaluation, delegation, and feedback

Dependable and Reliable - Demonstrates accountable and responsible behavior while serving as a trusted team player, proactively correcting mistakes, oversights and/or concerns

Collaborator - Works with school leadership, staff and families

 

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing

Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching

Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull light weights, up to 30 pounds

 

Qualifications/Education

Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Education)

3-5 years experience in school operations with proven ability to work in a managerial role

Candidate will be highly motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
