Job Description:

The Blackberry Creek Technical Specialist is responsible for all technical equipment and services, as well as leading staff and volunteer teams for production of weekend services and special events as the Blackberry Creek Campus. The gift sets important to the fulfillment of this position include creative worship, administration, leadership, and encouragement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


GENERAL PRODUCTION

  •  Meets with the Blackberry Creative Arts Director and the producers for the Blackberry Creek campus to determine the technical needs of services and special events
  • Designs, creates and implements media elements (ask yourself…are you designing, creating a ‘need’?)for weekend services, special events, conferences, concerts and productions, which include, but is not limited to, the presentation and creativity of slides for worship songs, announcements, sermon outlines, and scripture verses

WEEKEND SERVICES AND SPECIAL EVENTS PRODUCTION

  • Supports various ministries within the church by providing assistance, training, and support of equipment usage and scheduling at the Blackberry Creek Campus
  • Provides technical support during weekend services and special events at the Blackberry Creek Campus as needed; provides leadership and direction to ensure alignment with the vision of the Creative Arts Director and Technical Director

VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT

  • Works to build and maintain highly functioning volunteers involved with the live production of weekend services and special events at the Blackberry Creek Campus
  • Maintains a schedule for all Blackberry Creek Technical Volunteers
  • Develops systems to ensure that all volunteers are equipped and empowered for service
  • Personally mentors and shepherds technical volunteers
  • Builds rapport with team members to influence growth and creativity

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AS DIRECTED BY THE BLACKBERRY CREEK CAMPUS CREATIVE ARTS DIRECTOR AND OR TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

 

The Blackberry Creek Technical Specialist agrees to take on additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor and as necessary for the continued development of the Creative Arts ministries of Christ Community Church.  These responsibilities will most likely be added according to the gifts, passions and talents of the employee, designed to address the growing and changing needs of the ministry team and may be added at the initiative and discretion of the supervisor.


RELATIONSHIPS 

  • Reports to and interacts most significantly with the Blackberry Creek Creative Arts Director
  • Works as a team member on the Creative Arts team
  • Interacts frequently with and occasionally takes direction from the Creative Arts Team Captain, Technical Director, Producers, and BC Campus Pastors
  • Meets with other ministry leaders and team members to coordinate events with a video component
  • Helps recruit, schedule and supervise volunteers in support roles
  • Submits to the Senior Pastor and Board of Elders of Christ Community Church

REQUIREMENTS

  • Comprehensive understanding of media systems and live audio mixing; 1+ year’s experience in related field
  • Solid foundation in live event technical production; proven ability in technical systems troubleshooting
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills; Ability to creatively problem solve
  • Experience recruiting, developing, and deploying volunteer teams
  • Flexibility in scheduled work hours based upon special events and regular weekend services
  • Key spiritual gifts of creative worship, administration, leadership, and encouragementleadership, creative worship, encouragement and shepherding
  • Willingness to commit in membership to Christ Community Church within the first 12 months of employment
  • Ability to fulfill the physical, mental and emotional requirements of the position, and work within the necessary work environments, as listed in the attached ADA task list, which is considered an addendum to this job description
  • Willingness and ability to comply with and support all policies, procedures, standards and statements outlined in the employee handbook, position papers and other official documents created for Christ Community Church
  • A growing committed follower of Jesus Christ. (1 Tim 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9)
