First United Methodist Church of Clermont 

is currently seeking qualified applicants for the following positions:

 

 

1. Child Development Center Director of Administration

Position Summary:

Responsible for working within the guidelines of our Christian values and lifestyle. Responsible for cooperatively working with the  Director of Student Education in developing and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional and physical development of each child enrolled in the class in accordance  with Gold Seal Accreditation Standards, DCF (Department of Children and Families) and the CDC school philosophy. The duties and responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of the Church Business Administrator.

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Early Childhood Education Administration preferred or a related field or an equivalent DCF Staff Credential
  • Must have or acquire a current Florida's Director's Credential within 60 days of employment
  • Cleared Level 2 Background screening
  • An active participant in the life of First United Methodist Church
  • 3 to 5 years experience in management of a child care center
  • Accounting experience a plus
  • Computer knowledge in Word, Publisher, Excel and Power Point

 

2. Child Development Center Director of Student Education

 

Position Summary:

The duties and responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of the Senior Pastor.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field with an emphasis on student exceptionalities
  • 3 years experience preferred in the following areas: Curriculum, Research, Instruction, Staff Development, Assessment, Exceptional Student Education, Classroom Teaching
  • Cleared Level 2 Background screening
  • An active participant in the life of First United Methodist Church
  • Must have an understanding of developing Christian curriculum for your children
  • A Current Florida's Directors Credentials
