SUMMARY

The Pastor of Discipleship and Assimilation primary objective is to critically focus on the internal growth, development and relationship of the believer in order to build a foundation for discipleship multiplication.   The person for this role will live the mission and vision of Third New Hope and lead the Christian Education experience.

PRIMARY ROLE

Discipleship Making:  Make disciples of Jesus who can make disciples 

  • Cast vision and implement scalable systems and structure to support learning communities and outreach for all campuses
  • Recruit, Train, and Teach continuous discipleship development
  • Build learning communities with curriculum and provide on-going support to “equip” all believers
  • Identify/create learning venues, webinars, blogs, etc. that can build community among the campuses
  • Passionately committed to reach those who do not know Christ
  • Recruit and train a rotational campus teaching team that are relevant, vibrant and possess a call to teach
  • Oversee Baptism and support collaborative planning for Lent, Advent and other Liturgical celebrations
  • Create special studies, learning series and outreach campaigns, etc. to build an evangelistic culture within all campuses

 

Assimilation

  • Design and own the process, coaching and systems that take people from First Time Guest to Member to Disciple
  • Create fresh and dynamic experiences for first time guest and act as HOST in New Member Connection Events in partnership with Staff, Volunteers  and Leaders.
  • Assist in teaching and coaching within Christian Education Learning platforms

General

  • Assist and collaborate on our campus strategy and provide support where needed
  • Solid stewardship with responsible budget planning and accountability
  • Actively support and engage Third New Hope’s Mission Statement
  • Position is recognized as a “Sunday-Required” staff role
  • Proficient in Digital and Social Media operations

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; flexible leadership
  • 1-3 year experience in strategic planning, leading visions, discipleship development and outreach campaigns
  • Understand ministry operations & strategic planning
  • Teaching is primary gift (across multiple generations)
  • Ideal candidate should possess both a M.Div and practical/relevant ministry related experience and education 
  • Highly energetic and passionate servant; love God daily
