The person we are looking to hire will strategically oversee and direct the growing Children's Ministry that is vital to the health of our congregation.
The Pastor of Children's Ministry will report to the Senior Pastor.
This staff person's primary function will be:
-To lead Children's Ministries. Help shape and implement a shared vision and strategy to grow and strengthen Children's Ministries in alignment with the mission of the church.
-Guide the Children's Ministry annual planning and ensure that the plan is implemented effectively and appropriately.
-Oversee the stewardship of people and material resources in Children's Ministry, maximizing the investment of each person in ministry.
-Build strong leaders and effective teams in Children's Ministries. Proatively seek and build leaders according to their giftedness.
-Be informed of trends and culture as it relates to Children's Ministries.
Education & Theology
-The Pastor/Directorof Children's Ministries will require a degree in teaching or children's ministries or similar advanced degree.
-The candidate will have a theological base shaped by evangelical theology and can agree with the church's doctrinal statement
-The candidate should have experience in a multiple staff church setting, with a minimum of 3 years ministry experience
-A born-again Christian with integrity, high moral values and a genuine call from God to this church and position.
-A skilled manager who can plan, budget, delegate, allocate resources and meet deadlines on time
-A leader who values volunteers--provides training, solicits feedback, builds a team culture, and actively involves key volunteer leadership in developing and executing children's programs.
Compensation will bemutually determined based on experience and education.
