Calvary Baptist Church (CBC) is a multi-cultural, multi generational church of 300 congregants. CBC is currently seeking a Director of Worship to grow our current worship ministry into a robust worship program. Successful candidates must have a willingness
to lead us to the next level of worship and ministry based on the vision that God has provided for our church and within the parameters set forth by the Senior Pastor and Senior Leadership. The Director of Worship will function as an integral member of the
church staff and will have the responsibility of development, implementation, coordination and supervision of the music program. This is a full time on site position.

-Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Essential knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
-Must demonstrate a commitment, willingness and ability to support the Pastor and Senior Leadership’s vision and direction for CBC.
-Must be in agreement with CBC’s statement of faith.
-Demonstrated ability to lead congregational worship, lead rehearsal, lead special events, and mentor team members
-Must be knowledgeable and experienced in goal setting and budgeting, long range planning, coordinating, operating and evaluating a comprehensive worship program in a church setting.
-Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Music preferred with a minimum of at least 2-3 years of demonstrable experience leading worship, worship teams or praise bands
-Serves as the primary consultant regarding the purchase and maintenance of instruments, sound equipment, presentation software, multimedia and video equipment.
-Compiles and submits annual budgets to budget committee
-Serves as a resource person to church ministries and coordinates schedules to provide music for funerals, weddings, communion, and other outreach programs.
-Plans, directs and evaluates a total worship program for the church
-Leads weekly rehearsals
-Leads corporate worship services weekly
-Communicates regularly with the Senior Pastor to align sermon themes and worship goals.
-Participate in staff meetings and training
-Meet regularly with audio/visual/lighting team to plan worship service details
-Set up stage and equipment for worship services and other events as necessary
-Recruit and train new praise team members
-Demonstrate a willingness to accept other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by Senior Pastor and Senior Leadership
