Grace Chapel is a non-denominational, multi-campus, multicultural church that has for many years been a leading church in the New England region. The church began in 1948 when a few families in Lexington, MA started meeting in their homes for a time of weekly worship, Bible study, and prayer. Since incorporating in 1956, Grace Chapel has grown from a few dozen people gathering in rented space to a church with over 4,000 people attending services and ministries at four campuses. Over the past 10 years, Grace has completed a major renovation of its Lexington Campus and expanded to three additional campuses. Senior Pastor Bryan Wilkerson, a frequent contributor to Preaching Today and Christianity Today, has been serving the church since 2000.

Grace Chapel's mission is to transform lives with the surprising message of God's grace. Their vision is to change the spiritual landscape of greater Boston by empowering the Grace Chapel congregation to live missionally, launch new campuses in greater Boston, and partner with vibrant churches and agencies in the region and beyond.

The Pastor of Next Generation Ministries will be an executive leader who will serve as the chief strategist, vision caster, communicator, and champion of the multi-campus Children and Student Ministry Teams at Grace Chapel. This high-capacity leader will oversee a team of children’s and student ministry staff members at each campus who, in turn, will recruit, train, and lead our committed volunteer leaders. Together, this will be the team discipling the next generation via relevant and engaging ministry to children, students, and their families.

The Pastor of Next Generation Ministries must have experience in leading strong teams, as they will oversee the Children and Student Ministries who minister to over 600 children and 300 students on the weekends and mid-week gatherings among Grace Chapel’s four campuses, served by more than 150 volunteers. They will be a leader of leaders who will be expected to consistently create, critique, and improve the processes and programs of all Next Generation Ministries and their respective teams.

The successful candidate for the Pastor of Next Generation Ministries will have earned a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A master’s degree from an accredited seminary or Bible college is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in executive leadership and communication as a Children’s, Student, and/or Family Pastor or similar capacity for a minimum of 5-7 years.

Lexington, MA is part of Greater Boston, which is a wonderful blend of 21st century sophistication and historic New England charm. Year round, Boston's calendar is full of musical and theatrical productions, championship sports teams and festivals. A stroll through the Public Garden is simply charming, whether lit up with holiday lights at Christmas or full of tulips in springtime. Boston Harbor offers a multitude of activities from daytime harbor cruises, to clam bake dinner cruises at sunset, to whale watches out on the ocean. There's history to be enjoyed as well as the freshest local seafood. There are pocket-parks, public squares, and arboretums to stroll or picnic. No matter what the season, interest or hobby, Boston has something for everyone.
