Job Description:


  • To provide i5 CHURCH with someone who is passionate about the church’s vision and care about how it translates to people inside and outside of the church. They defend it. They design it. They care about it. The Communications Director should be able to communicate clearly and succinctly and be up with what’s new in the world of technology.

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 years writing experience preferred
  • Video production/editing experience required
  • Web Development experience preferred

    • Web
      • Maintain all websites for i5 Church and build new sites as needed
      • Ensure all information on sites is up to date, accurate and grammatically correct
      • Ensure that all websites are developed and maintained to reach the target audience (main site-unchurched, 25:5-partners, etc.)
      • Research and propose updates, improvements and redevelopment of the sites in order to reach organizational goals and maintain culture
    • Social Media
      • Serve as primary point person for Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Vimeo and any other relevant social media sites
      • Ensure promotion schedule is maintained via Facebook and all stated goals are achieved via Twitter
      • Create proposals to maximize effectiveness and use of all social media outlets
      • Develop creative methods of utilizing social media to further the message and vision of i5 Church
      • Gather and present statistics and analytics to maximize effectiveness of all social media vehicles
    • Marketing/Advertising
      • Develop and implement strategic marketing and advertising campaigns to support the initiatives of i5 Church
      • Develop strategies for print and digital advertising within confines of the annual budget
      • Gather data and complete market research to assist in making the best decisions for marketing strategies and expenditures
    • General Communication
      • Serve as primary author of all technical, promotional and general written communication
      • Develop and enforce communications standards across the organization to ensure consistency
      • Develop and prepare all content for video announcements and outsource to video contractors
      • Research the market to create benchmarks within i5 Church and to stay ahead of the curve with technology and innovation
      • Manage the timely and effective execution of the production schedule and communication department deliverables
