The Music Director works to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the Music Department. The Music Director will transcribe and arrange music, build tracks, lead the band for rehearsals and services for both weekend and midweek ministries on a rotation
basis, assist in auditions, team building, mentoring volunteers, and perform music at services.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A. Recruit: Recruit and develop musicians to be a part of the team.
B. Development: Work side-by-side with the Worship Team in developing musical excellence and creativity in this ministry.
C. Meetings: Attend departmental, supervisory, and Worship Team meetings.
D. taff Meetings: Attend Staff meetings for global, visionary, and organizational matters.
A. Music: Arranging, transcription, part assignments, development of demos.
B. Rehearsal: Lead musical rehearsals during the week as well as at the weekend services.
C. Directing: Lead and direct the musicians during services.
D. Tracking: Track Production
Interaction with Others
This person will work closely with the Worship Team as well as the rest of the Creative Arts staff. He/she will also work closely with the Creative Arts volunteers.
This person must be a creative person with leadership abilities. An understanding of a seeker targeted ministry is necessary. Must be a team player willing to work with others and develop musical teams. Musical experience in all genres of music, as well
as arranging, tracking, and music theory is essential.
