Title: Administrative Assistant

Position Description

 

Reports to: Director of Operation & Finance           

Classification:  Hourly, Fulltime

 

Scope:    The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting the Senior Minister, Minister of Outreach & Mission, Director of Finance & Operations as needed.  Other responsibilities include Communications, Sunday Bulletins, Facilities Scheduling, Reception Desk, Membership Data, Staff Lunches, Christmas Party, Annual Retreat, supporting the Church Council as well as general office tasks.

 

Role:   To provide organizational support to the ministry, support, custodial staff and lay leaders. To give clear communication of the building schedule and master calendar. To provide direct support to the Senior Minister, Minister of Mission, and Director of Finance & Operations. To be available and helpful to the staff, congregation and outside third parties.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Facilities Scheduling

2. Administrative support for the Senior Minister, Minister of Mission, and Director of Finance &          Operations

3. Communications (Website, eNews, Sunday bulletin, social media, etc.)

4. Membership Database

5. Reception Desk (Recruit & train front desk volunteers, maintain schedules and contact lists)

6. Administrative support for Church Council & Church Meetings

            Familiarity with and knowledge of computer software programs

            Experience using social media

            Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team
