The Children's Pastor must be an experienced leader, with excellent relational and communication skills. The
candidate should be passionate, hard-working, teachable, fun and enjoy being part our fast growing community.
They should possess organizational and administrative skills to carry out the day-to-day operations of the
Children's program and lead the Family Ministries staff and volunteers. The Children's Pastor will be responsible
for coordinating all components of the weekend services as it relates to the Children's programs as well as other
campus related activities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee and manage all aspects of children’s programing including but not limited to CT Kids service
experiences, CT Kid Club special event and groups programming, children’s events
Oversee and manage Family Ministry team in Executive Director’s absence in coordination with other
Family Ministry leaders
Review and make determinations for curriculum purchased or written for use within Family Ministry
Travel campuses overseeing and managing the execution of elements related to children in support and
direction of Family Pastors over children at the campus level
Create and implement new elements within the children’s areas and/or programming and coordinating
and managing Family Pastors over children at the campus level
Assists Executive Director in determining and developing logistical processes for all Family Ministry programs
Oversee and manage the Family Ministry staff designated as each campuses staff connection for the CT Kids Club
Oversee and assist with the hiring process for CTKids Club
Liaison for Family Ministry with Connections Pastors and other CT staff teams as it relates to kids programing
Lead, manage and/or direct new projects as assigned by the Executive Director
Communicate necessary information to campus staff and lay leadership from Campus Support and Leadership
Responsible for developing strong interpersonal relationships with members, leadership and staff.
Must be able to delegate, motivate, influence and inspire trust and loyalty with campus staff and volunteers.

To have a teachable spirit with those in authority over them and to not speak against them.
To continually seek God and trust His direction by consistently studying the Bible and praying for His guidance.
Able to laugh, enjoy work and not afraid to address conflict using the biblical model (Matthew 18)
Clearance of a criminal background check
Progressive Experience in Children's ministry
Past record of good leadership, sound judgment, integrity and commitment to the vision, mission and
core values of Crosstimbers Community Church
Demonstrates a passion for the ministry which is in agreement with CTCC vision, mission and core values
Is able to develop team leadership, supervising effectively a multi-staff with specifically assigned roles
Understands the vision and culture of CTCC and has the ability to think strategically, effectively communicate, lead and motivate the staff
Must be flexible and realize that this role will include many hours outside of regular office hours and weekend
All staff members are required to attend monthly All Staff meetings. Vacations and personal time are to be
scheduled to not interfere with attendance. Exceptions must be approved by manager.
All staff members are required to work Easter services and the week leading up to and including Christmas
services; the schedule for these services can vary according to the campus needs and the yearly calendar.
WORK ENVIRONMENT – PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position requires bending, stooping and stretching to file, and occasional lifting of boxes weighing up to 25
pounds. Work is generally performed indoors, but may involve limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
