Associate Pastor - Students & Seniors
 (Full Time)

Educational Qualifications:


Bible College or Christian Liberal Arts College graduate with a Bible Major.


Youth Ministry Minor preferred.
Seminary graduate (MDiv) a strong plus.



Youth ministry experience required.
Internships, camp ministry, or Christian school experience considered.


Two to five years of local church youth ministry experience preferred.

Job Description

The Youth Pastor shall plan, lead, and oversee all phases of the students (youth) ministry including Jr. and Sr. High programs. He will fill the role of being the primary Bible teacher, counselor, and mentor to the youth in the program. He shall work closely with the parents of students. He will develop his own staff of volunteers to provide a quality Bible teaching and discipleship program. He shall provide formal and informal leadership training for his volunteer staff. He shall direct the regular weekly students meeting, be part of the students Sunday school teaching team, and oversee all off campus activities of the student group. He will personally accompany students and provide necessary leadership during special summer activities including camp weeks and short term mission’s trips. He will be acquainted with and involved in the personal lives of students visiting homes, attending school events, and making hospital visits when needed. He shall maintain an awareness of the current youth culture.

He shall oversee the development and implementation of a college and career ministry.

He shall oversee and lead all phases of the Young Inspirations (Sr. Citizens) Ministry. He will work with a team of volunteers to plan and implement the yearly program. He shall be in attendance and provide leadership at the nine monthly meetings on Saturday. He shall also make regular visits to senior citizens as directed by the Pastor.

He shall assist the Sr. Pastor in other areas of ministry as the Sr. Pastor's directs. He shall meet with the Sr. Pastor for staff meetings on a regular basis. The final job title and the extent of any duties beyond what is described above will be dependent upon the chosen applicant's education and ministry experience.
