Technology Operations Coordinator


PLEASE NOTE: This is a part time job. Only applicants in the DFW area will be considered.


General Duties and Responsibilities

To support the vision, purpose and process at McKinney Church through the use of technology to support staff and ministry..


Job Scope

You will...

  • support the day to day technology needs of the staff team by ensuring that our team has functional computers, software and printers.

  • maintain computers and other peripherals including printers, copiers and other office equipment.

  • ensure the highest level of data backup and disaster recovery possible for every computer and church device. this includes creating a disaster recovery plan and monitoring on a monthly basis that all computers are following protocol. for more sensitive systems like accounting, disaster recovery should be ensured weekly.

  • ensure the smooth operation of network switches, routers, servers, wireless and other infrastructure as needed.

  • maintain an accurate record of all computer, server, peripheral, software and other information technology systems.

  • maintain software licenses and report as needed.

  • support the new hire process by providing all necessary accounts and login information, as well as necessary training.

  • provide server support for any necessary on site or off site servers.

  • provide administration for any cloud based or web based technology systems (i.e. Office 365, Google Apps, Fellowship One, ACS, etc.)

  • accurately log and process financial forms and vouchers.

  • project budgets for new and replacement equipment.

  • advise and recommend on all information technology purchases.

  • collaborate with tech arts director for necessary technology operations overlap in the building (i.e. computers used for projection systems, network connectivity, etc.)

  • support classroom computers, projection and/or tv infrastructure.

  • support special project or event related technology needs.

  • ensure the highest level of internet data connectivity within the budgets allowed.

  • collaborate with facilities services for current phone systems

  • other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • some college preferred

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • demonstrated competence in the following areas

    • microsoft operating systems and cloud based administration

    • apple mac desktop software and support

    • networking hardware and wireless

    • server support and administration
