Media Director

LifePoint Church
Vancouver, Washington, United States

Date Posted: 05/13/2014
Categories: Media/Technology
Denominations: Assemblies of God
Church Size: 751 to 1000
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

LifePoint Church exists to glorify God as a community being transformed by Jesus Christ. We are committed to growing as a community of disciples through learning the Gospel, living the Gospel, and leading others to the Gospel. We are located in the great Pacific Northwest; more specifically, in the Portland (Oregon) metro area, where art and culture thrive, both in and out of the church.

Creative Team: The Media Director (MD) will work closely with the Lead Pastor, Music/Arts Pastor, and other members of the pastoral team to initiate the creative elements of our gatherings, web presence, and all major marketing initiatives.

Video: The MD will be the oversight in all areas of video production. Often, this will mean taking an idea from storyboard to screen.

Branding: Along with the Music/Arts Pastor, the MD will oversee and implement the branding strategy of LPC as a whole, as well as events, initiatives, sermon series, and various creative output.

Graphics (Digital & Physical): The MD will be responsible for producing graphics for a number of things at LPC. This includes the production of a weekly bulletin, a quarterly LifeGroup booklet, and other creative output.

Web Presence: The MD will oversee the web efforts of LPC. Though web design experience is not necessary (we use a pre-made web template called Clover), an understanding of web marketing and utilization is a must. The MD will also oversee our social media team, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

*Note: If web development is a strength of the MD, we can discuss the possibility of moving away from Clover to a self-made site.

Stage Design: LPC preaches expositionally (verse by verse, exposing the meaning of the text), and we use every opportunity to brand a sermon series, including the design of our stage. The MD will work with our Creative Team to design each stage set, and then with our Campus Director to implement the design.

Live Media: Each weekend at LPC, our gatherings are accompanied by full sound, lights, and IMAG video. The MD will equip Ministry Team Leaders in these areas each weekend and during special events.

IT: The MD will oversee our IT needs, including the part-time IT staff and IT volunteer team.

Music: While not mandatory, experience leading musical worship and/or proficiency on an instrument is a major plus. The role of music in the MD position will be discussed during interviews.
